Every job finishes with the right documentation. Depending on the scope that is an electrical installation certificate, a minor works certificate, or an EICR setting out the condition of an existing installation with any issues coded clearly. If you are a landlord, that report is the document your letting agent will ask for. If you are selling, it is the one a buyer's solicitor will want to see.
Rewires, consumer units
and EV charging
Older properties around the Solent often still run on installations that predate modern protection. A consumer unit replacement brings an installation up to current standards with individual RCBO protection on each circuit, so a fault on one circuit no longer takes out the whole house. It is usually a one-day job and includes full testing of the existing circuits before the new board goes live, because there is no point protecting circuits nobody has checked.
A full rewire is a larger undertaking and we plan it around you: circuits grouped sensibly, socket and lighting positions agreed before anything is chased in, and dust kept where it belongs. Partial rewires are common too, particularly kitchens and extensions where only part of the installation needs bringing forward.

EV charger installation is a growing part of the work and we are OZEV registered, which matters where grant-scheme funding applies. The install starts with the supply rather than the charger: checking the incoming main fuse, the earthing arrangement and the existing load before recommending a unit. We fit single home chargers and have installed multi-unit commercial arrangements where the work had to happen around a working office with minimal disruption.
Fault finding is its own discipline. Intermittent trips, lighting circuits that misbehave in wet weather and nuisance RCD operation all get traced methodically rather than guessed at, so you are not paying for parts that were never the problem.

Are you registered with a competent person scheme?
Yes. Hardi Electrical is NAPIT registered, and also OZEV registered for EV charger grant-scheme work. Andrew holds the 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2391-52 inspection and testing, and Level 3 EV Installation & Maintenance qualifications.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry £5 million public liability cover and £10 million employer's liability cover.
What certification do I get when the work is finished?
Depending on the job, you will receive an EIC (electrical installation certificate), an EICR, or a minor works certificate. Building control is notified directly on any Part P notifiable work.
Which areas do you cover?

Do you warrant your work?
