These terms apply to the use of this website and to quotations and work provided by Hardi Electrical LTD, 44 Celandine Avenue, Locks Heath, Southampton SO31 6XA.

Where we agree something different with you in writing for a specific job, that written agreement takes precedence over these general terms.

Submitting the enquiry form or contacting us does not create a contract. It is a request for us to get in touch.

Every job is priced individually once we understand the scope, and quotations are provided in writing. A quotation reflects the scope described in it. If the scope changes, or if something is found that could not reasonably have been seen at survey, we will tell you before carrying out additional work and agree the change with you.

A contract is formed when you accept our written quotation and we confirm a date for the work.

Dates are arranged by agreement. We will let you know as soon as possible if something outside our control means a date has to move.

You agree to give us safe access to the property and to the areas the work relates to at the agreed times, including access to the consumer unit and the incoming supply.

Where the work requires a supply interruption we will agree that with you in advance. Please let us know about anything on site that could affect safety or access before we start.

All work is carried out in accordance with BS 7671 (the 18th Edition wiring regulations) by qualified electricians.

Where work is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations we notify building control through our competent person scheme registration.

We take care to work cleanly and to make good where we have chased or drilled. Making good is to a standard suitable for decoration; decoration and finishing are not included unless the quotation says so.

On completion you will receive the appropriate documentation for the work carried out, an electrical installation certificate, a minor works certificate, or an electrical installation condition report, with the test results recorded.

An EICR records the condition of an installation at the date of inspection. It is not a statement about the future condition of the installation.

Invoices are issued for the work carried out in accordance with the accepted quotation, and are payable by the date stated on the invoice.

Where additional work has been agreed during the job, it is invoiced in addition to the quoted amount.

If you need to cancel or move booked work, please tell us as soon as you can so we can re-allocate the time.

Where you are a consumer and the contract was agreed away from our premises, you have statutory cancellation rights. If you ask us to begin work within the cancellation period and then cancel, we may charge for what has already been done.

We carry £5 million public liability insurance and £10 million employer's liability insurance.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
